Gizem was born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. She graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2013 with a degree in Geological Engineering. Following her graduation, she worked in the mining industry for 5 years before moving to Denver, Colorado to pursue architecture. Growing up in a country with so many unique architectural beauties inspired her to chase the field.

In her free time, she loves discovering something new by traveling to new countries and learning about their cultures. She also enjoys swimming, camping, and hiking.
