Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Client Collaboration

• Collaborate with the Director of Architecture/Design and Senior Project Designer to engage with clients and guide overall design direction.
• Assist in defining client design goals, priorities, and project requirements.
• Develop and articulate project design intent that aligns with client expectations and project constraints.
• Clearly communicate and “sell” design concepts through presentations, drawings, and visual materials.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Maintain and coordinate the design vision throughout all project phases and across multiple disciplines.
• Work closely with Project Manager during meetings with city officials, design review boards (DRBs), HOAs, and other authorities.
• Research and apply applicable zoning codes, building codes, and local ordinances to design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, consistency, and clear communication.

Production & Standards

• Prepare design and presentation drawings, renderings, and material boards.
• Implement KEPHART design standards, including QA/QC processes and Revit best practices.
• Ensure design intent is accurately translated into project documentation.

Team Development & Growth

• Coach and support project team members with a focus on design skills and professional development.
• Communicate design performance and needs with studio and architecture leadership.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program.
• 5–10 years of professional architectural design experience.
• Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
• Strong conceptual design skills with the ability to produce high-quality presentation and design drawings.
• Advanced verbal and visual communication skills, including client presentations.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Software Proficiency

• Revit (required) with working knowledge of QA/QC workflows
• SketchUp
• Rendering / Visualization Software (such as 3ds Max, Lumion, Twinmotion, Unreal, or similar)
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Sketchbook or comparable hand-sketching tools

Compensation

We are seeking a Senior Designer (emerging professional on path to licensure) with 3 – 5 years of professional experience to join our Team. The ideal candidate is fully competent in conventional aspects of architecture. Senior Designers work more independently, take on moderately complex assignments, and support junior staff. They are responsible for initiating typical details, performing analysis, and contributing to specifications and reports. This role bridges technical execution with mentorship and quality assurance.
We are a Revit office and preference is given to those with hands-on experience.

This position supports the marketing team in executing marketing strategies and campaigns to promote KEPHART’s services, brand, and portfolio of work. In addition, this role plays a key part in proposal coordination by receiving, preparing, and submitting RFP/Q responses; assisting with writing, editing, and layout; and partnering with leadership to develop strategic, client specific proposal content and interview materials. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure cohesive, effective, and strategically aligned marketing and proposal efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and critical thinker with attention to detail.

Range of Responsibilities

• Proposal Coordination: Receive, prepare, and submit responses for Requests for Proposals/Qualifications (RFP/Q). Assist in writing, editing, and layout of proposals, and work with leadership to determine strategies, develop client specific responses, and prepare materials for interviews.
• Content Creation: Maintain content calendar and produce compelling content for various platforms, including the website, social media, blogs, brochures, newsletters, trade publications, and other marketing materials. Create and keep current all marketing materials such as project sheets, resumes, brochures, presentations, and digital assets.
• Social Media Management: Manage KEPHART’s social media accounts, creating engaging posts, developing strategies to increase engagement, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting the development and maintenance of the firm’s overall online presence.
• Website Management: Update and optimize content on the website to ensure it is current, relevant, and aligned with brand messaging.
• Database Management: Maintain and update marketing databases, including project descriptions, staff resumes, proposal materials, and digital assets.
• Photography Management: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate photoshoots with clients and photographers to support award submissions and general marketing needs.
• Award Submission Management: Plan, coordinate, and prepare professional award submissions, ensuring strong narratives, visuals, and alignment with submission requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design and project teams to develop marketing materials and content that highlight KEPHART’s expertise and projects.
• Reporting: Track and report on marketing campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
