Job Description
We are seeking a Designer (emerging professional on path to licensure) with 1-4 years of experience to join our build-to-rent/low-density studio. This position would see you working under a project manager where you would learn about low-density residential design process, consultant coordination, building and municipal codes, construction methods and the ability to solve for complex architectural and engineering design problems.
The ideal candidate will be a full-time, entry-level professional performing basic architectural assignments. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys variety where multiple projects are active at once rather than a single project for long periods of time. They will undertake a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project. They will perform design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work. We are a Revit office and preference is given to those with hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- 1-4 years of experience, preferably in low-density residential
- A solid understanding of wood and concrete construction
- Professional Revit experience
- Multi-family experience
- Sketchup experience
Range of Responsibilities
- Creating and modifying building/unit models
- Implementing dimensioning and annotation
- Participation in Concept Design through Construction
- Picking up redlines and applying design direction
- Developing and revising typical and complex details
- Supporting internal team members and collaborating across project teams
- Researching materials and codes
- Learning and applying KEPHART’s documentation and Revit standards
Compensation
Salary Range: $ 57,000 – $ 68,000 annually, pending level of expertise
Potential for an annual bonus based on the company’s profitability and an individual’s job performance
