The vision was to transform a tired, 24/7 diner into a modern cocktail lounge with a 1960’s era Palm Springs vibe. This started with revitalizing the historic structure and building upon the original Googie-style design crafted by nationally recognized architects, Armet and Davis in 1967. Inside, the terrazzo floors were kept along with the acoustic tile ceiling and the stone veneer planters. The kitchen was closed from public view and clad with walnut paneling and open shelving reimagining the old dining counter as an active bar. Outside, the parking lot was transformed into an outdoor oasis with semi-private cabanas, fire pits, fountains, a large lawn, and a seating area that can flex into a stage for musical performances to create a variety of experiences and spaces that are made for today, while honoring the past.
