Just over two years after opening our first out-of-state office in Downtown Phoenix, KEPHART is proud to announce our transition to a larger space to support our expanding Arizona operations.
With over a dozen active projects currently underway across the state, from affordable and market-rate apartments to build-to-rent communities and modular designs, this milestone marks both the success of our growing project portfolio and our continued commitment to serving the Arizona’s dynamic multifamily housing market.
Two Decades of Arizona Excellence
Our Arizona story began long before we set down roots in Phoenix. For more than twenty years, KEPHART has been shaping communities with our thoughtful architecture and land planning services. Our portfolio spans affordable and senior living communities to luxury, resort-inspired apartments, each with a distinctive architectural identity and a strong sense of place.
The results speak for themselves: 1,050 homes delivered, 860 under construction, and another 1,090 on the boards. Projects like Escape at Arrowhead in Glendale exemplify our approach to luxury living with modern desert design, while Maricopa Station addresses the critical need for senior living and workforce housing in one of America’s fastest-growing cities.

Leading our Arizona growth is Doug Van Lerberghe, Principal and Director of Strategic Ventures. With more than 30 years of experience designing award-winning communities nationwide, Doug brings deep insight into how to align design innovation with market realities and construction efficiency.
A nationally recognized expert in residential design trends, Doug’s work and thought leadership have been featured in Builder, Professional Builder, and Builder and Developer Magazine. He played a key role in establishing KEPHART’s Phoenix office and continues to build partnerships and guide projects that respond to the region’s rapid growth and distinct desert environment.
Doug leads a dedicated Arizona team that shares his passion for creating communities that are not only beautiful and functional but also thoughtfully attuned to the people and places they serve.
