In the heart of Denver’s Stadium District, Revival on Platte introduces not just new housing, but a bold new way to build it. The 200-unit, eight-story community offers residents direct access to the South Platte River trail system and is just a short walk from Empower Field at Mile High and a variety of other entertainment venues. The community features an array of on-site amenities, including a fitness center, a business hub with private conference rooms and individual workstations, and a roof-top deck with sweeping city views.
As the first-of-its-kind community in the Denver metro area to be built using prefabricated modular panels, Revival on Platte is reshaping how housing can be delivered in urban settings.
The modular panels—produced by BLUvera, a sister company of Mortenson—were fabricated off-site, fully outfitted with windows, doors, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Once delivered to the site, these massive components (some measuring 40 feet long by 10 feet tall) were craned into place, reducing on-site waste, streamlining labor, and increasing efficiency. What typically requires a dozen subcontractors on site was reduced to a core team of five.
KEPHART joined the project after the initial unit layouts were completed by BASE4 and took on the challenge of designing and coordinating the remainder of the building. Our scope included the exterior architecture and detailing, podium design, and vertical circulation—all while working within the parameters of modular construction.
With move-ins set to begin May 1, Revival on Platte will not just be a great place for people to live— it will the stage for what’s possible when innovative construction methods and thoughtful design come together.
This project was recently featured in the March issue of Building Dialogue from the Colorado Real Estate Journal, offering behind-the-scenes insight from KEPHART Principal Steve Martinez and Mortenson’s Taber Sweet.
Revival on Platte marks a milestone in modular design, and we’re proud to have been part of bringing this innovative community to life with the Mortensen team.
