Walnut Street Lofts is an affordable housing project in the heart of Denver’s River North neighborhood – an area popular for its urban, artistic style and easy commute to downtown and the Denver Metro area, but challenged by ever-increasing rent prices. This project will combat rising rent costs, providing affordability and accessibility to individuals earning between 30 and 60% of AMI.
The community, designed in partnership with Medici Consulting Group and Urban Land Conservancy, is five stories and features 66 units of various one, two and three-bedroom layouts. The design features of the project play off the eclectic vibe of the neighborhood, including an artistic, blue-colored exterior staircase and board-formed concrete walls that catch the eye of the passerby.
The building is nearing completion, with cabinets, flooring and appliances currently under installation on the interior and decorative elements being finalized on the exterior. The project should wrap up construction in late July or early August 2020!
