For more than three decades, KEPHART has been weaving architectural excellence into the fabric of Winter Park and Grand County. Our deep roots in this mountain community have grown through countless projects, partnerships, and a shared vision of creating homes that honor the natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Nowhere is this more evident than in our enduring collaboration with Koelbel and Company, a partnership that spans over 25 years and has left a distinctive KEPHART fingerprint across the Winter Park landscape.
This legacy of craftsmanship and community connection recently took center stage when one of our signature designs within the Rendezvous community became the grand prize in the Mighty Millions Raffle – a stunning mountain home that represents not just architectural achievement but hope and healing for children in need.
The Mighty Millions Mountain Retreat
The 2,775-square-foot Rendezvous Hummingbird home that captured headlines as this year’s Mighty Millions grand prize, embodies everything we’ve learned about mountain living over our three decades in Winter Park. Designed in partnership with NEO Studio and built by our longtime partners at Koelbel, this walk-out ranch home showcases signature mountain transitional style with a thoughtful blend of rustic charm and contemporary sophistication.
The home’s design centers on multigenerational living, recognizing that today’s families need spaces that can adapt and evolve. With dual primary suites positioned strategically on different levels, the home offers privacy and comfort whether hosting a single family or multiple generations under one roof. The main floor primary suite ensures accessibility, while the secondary primary suite provides flexibility for various living arrangements.

Thoughtful Design for Mountain Living
Every element of the Mighty Millions home reflects our deep understanding of how people want to live in the mountains. The main living area revolves around a dramatic fireplace that serves as both a gathering place and a source of warmth during Colorado’s crisp mountain evenings. Vaulted ceilings create a sense of grandeur while exposed timber and stone elements bring the natural beauty of the outdoors inside. Recognizing Winter Park’s popularity as a short-term rental destination, we included “lock-and-leave” storage solutions perfect for gear storage and rental management.
The homes’ positioning on a hillside maximizes the breathtaking views of the Fraser Valley that make Winter Park so special. Large, covered decks and multiple outdoor living areas ensure that residents can enjoy Colorado’s spectacular scenery year-round, whether it’s summer hiking season or winter ski season.

The structural and civil engineering expertise of TopKnot Engineering, combined with interior design by Possibilities for Design and land planning by Vogel & Associates, created a truly exceptional mountain retreat. The collaborative effort resulted in a $2.4 million grand prize showhome – fully furnished, professionally decorated, and beautifully landscaped – plus an additional $760,100 in bonus cash.
For our team at KEPHART – including Jake Dudley, Kellen Kyger, and Doug Van Lerberghe – this project holds special significance. It marked Jake’s first project as a designer to move from concept to completion, representing the next generation of KEPHART talent and continuing our Winter Park legacy.
The Rendezvous Community Vision
The Mighty Millions home sits within the broader Rendezvous community, where KEPHART has designed an impressive range of housing options during our quarter-century partnership with Koelbel. From single-family cabins to tri-plexes, paired homes, townhomes, and modular designs, we’ve created ten different product types including Rendezvous Center, which houses Koelbel’s Rendezvous Sales Center plus the Winter Park Information Center that welcomes newcomers to this special place. Each project we’ve designed reinforces our commitment to creating not just beautiful buildings, but vibrant mountain communities.

Looking Forward
The winner of this year’s Mighty Millions raffle didn’t just receive keys to a beautiful home – they became part of the ongoing Winter Park story that KEPHART has been proud to help write for three decades. With convenient access to world-class skiing, miles of hiking trails, and the charm of Winter Park’s walkable downtown, plus a Rendezvous Mountain Club Family Membership for the 2025/2026 season, they’ve truly won a mountain lifestyle.
Most importantly, their new home represents the power of community coming together for children’s healthcare, proving that great design and collaboration can serve an even greater purpose.
