KEPHART is proud to share that Phase I (left side of building and porte-cochère) of Chamberlin Hall was completed last September, delivering 47 new independent‑living homes to this iconic Colorado Springs community, and that Phase II (right side of the building) began construction in March. This milestone marks the first major residential addition to the storied Myron Stratton Home campus since its founding in 1913 and represents a vital expansion of affordable senior housing in El Paso County. This expansion also continues one of Colorado’s most significant privately funded investments in affordable senior housing.
KEPHART designed the Chamberlin Hall to honor the campus’s historic Spanish Mission–style architecture while providing residents with modern comfort and accessibility. This vision was supported by the expertise of Anchor Engineering, the structural engineer for Phase I, and IMEG, who has taken on structural engineering for Phase II. CMTA provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for Phase I, with IMEG continuing those services in Phase II. Aneka Interiors, involved in both phases, crafted warm and inviting interiors that complement the building’s timeless aesthetic.
Phase I also enhances the Myron Stratton Home’s deep connection to nature, a defining part of its history. The completed work includes an expanded trail network, a new dog run, and a first‑floor fitness center available to all campus residents, as well as on‑site services such as physical therapy and financial counseling to support overall resident well‑being.
With demand for independent‑living homes at Myron Stratton reaching a seven-year wait time, the Myron Stratton Home Trust is moving quickly to expand capacity. Phase II, which will add a wing to the west side of Chamberlin Hall, began construction in March 2026 and will add 35 additional homes, bringing the total to 82. This new wing will continue Myron Stratton’s mission of providing high‑quality, affordable, and supportive homes for seniors in the region.
Bryan Construction will continue as KEPHART’s construction partner for Phase II of Chamberlin Hall. KEPHART is honored to play a role in advancing the legacy of generosity envisioned by Winfield Scott Stratton and is grateful to the Board of Trustees for entrusting us with this important expansion to the Myron Stratton campus.
