Millennials are leading all other generations when buying homes. While this is great news, this generation has been living in lifestyle-focused rental communities for many years and have come accustomed to the over-the-top amenities that these properties offer. While communities with golf courses and water parks might be a common sight these days, builders are having to explore new ways to differentiate themselves from their competitors, as well as speak to this growing demographic of new buyers.

Bobby Long presented with Tasha Jones with Brookfield Properties, Angela Harris with TRIO, and Jasvina Gill with p11 Creative on this topic at PCBC this year.  During their presentation, they focused on how for-sale builders need to be strategic when programming community amenities in order to successfully curate a lifestyle, versus just a place to live.
